Michelle Forbes

It's always fun to see a familiar face on LOST!
Often times my friend Jason and I show off our skills at tracking the career's of random actors.

Example: Michelle Forbes.

Here she is on LOST. Now, I know you know her from somewhere....

Correct! She played Ensign Ro on Star Trek: The Next Generation

If you asked Daniel, obviously he'd remind us all that she played Lynne Kresge on 24.

Probably my favorite of her characters... Admiral Helena Cain on Battlestar Galactica!

Try playing this game yourself sometime! It's a great family home evening activity. You can always start with an easy actor like Steve Buscemi:

When you're ready, you can move up to a more challenging name like Rene Auberjonois!

Analysis of Utah Landforms

I was lucky enough to have an enjoyable outdoor adventure this Spring Break. I also received four credits. Analysis of Utah Landforms was a sweet course taught by THE Genevieve Atwood. We traveled all over utah analyzing landforms.

Nicholas, Sharon, and I deep in Granite Canyon within the Deep Creek Range in western Utah, near the Nevada border.

Granite Canyon demonstrated a delightful igneous intrusion, which has been exposed thanks to the spreading of the Basin and Range.

Genevieve "coaching" my sketch of Round Mountain.

Gotta love the river. And my hat. Gotta love my hat.

Nicholas and I pose while Sharon looks across the book cliffs. Camping that night, a pack of coyotes stopped by, howling extremely loud. Coyotes don't even howl, i'd call it more of a shrieking scream.

Legislative Adventures pt. 2

Brian and I posing with some spectacular Reps. The giant is Larry Wiley. On the left is Assistant Minority Whip Carol Spackman Moss known for her chatty-cathy personality. On the right is Janice Fisher. Rep. Fisher lives life to the fullest and drives a blue Ford Mustang.

I interned for Representative Karen Morgan. She represents Cottonwood Heights and both Big and Little Cottonwood canyons. (GO ALTA!) She's a huge champion of public education. Easily the nicest lady in the Legislature. She's recently announced her candidacy for the State Senate. I'm managing the field operations for the campaign. We're going up against a two-term Republican. An intense race for sure.

Check out her awesome hat. That was my gift to her at the end of the session. It's harder than you think to find a blue cowboy hat in Salt Lake City. Thank you Little America Gift Shop! I'm sure Karen hasn't taken it off since....

Some of the House Democrat Interns. Last night of the session. We were there till 1:30 pm. Tired but still smiling.

Legislative Adventures pt. 1

Rep. Biskupski. She's very articulate and effective. She's nice, but occasionally cusses out the head of the Rules Committee.

Rep. Christine Johnson gets stressed out easily, but she often bought the interns pizza.

Rep. Seelig is slightly scary at first, but once you get to know her, you only wet your pants once a week around her.

I love a good outdoor adventure!

Zion antics with the Clydes.

Dad, Patrick and I in a fancy slot canyon. Meghann was taking the picture.
Andy and I at Wallowa Lake in Oregon. It's our Lewis and Clark pose.

Daniel and I at Cedar Breaks National Monument.

Jason, Sadie, and I enjoying Capital Reef National Park. STAY ON THE TRAIL!

Voting

Voting is important. This is me voting for the 2nd time. (Okay, i voted earlier on a machine. This is a posed photo at the provisional ballet table) Obviously, I voted for Hilldawg. Shelly voted for Mike Gravel (Don't ask). and Nelly voted for Obama. Nelly's and I's votes canceled each other out giving Gravel a tactical advantage.
