I was lucky enough to have an enjoyable outdoor adventure this Spring Break. I also received four credits. Analysis of Utah Landforms was a sweet course taught by THE Genevieve Atwood. We traveled all over utah analyzing landforms.
Nicholas, Sharon, and I deep in Granite Canyon within the Deep Creek Range in western Utah, near the Nevada border.
Granite Canyon demonstrated a delightful igneous intrusion, which has been exposed thanks to the spreading of the Basin and Range.
Genevieve "coaching" my sketch of Round Mountain.
Gotta love the river. And my hat. Gotta love my hat.
Nicholas and I pose while Sharon looks across the book cliffs. Camping that night, a pack of coyotes stopped by, howling extremely loud. Coyotes don't even howl, i'd call it more of a shrieking scream.

I can't believe you got to spend the entire week with THE Genevieve Atwood. I mean, she is like... the godess of geology. Did she need to eat food or go to the bathroom, or is she past all that by now?
Genevieve is more human than all of us. She'd never hesitate to grab the poop shovel and go off into the bushes. She gave us detailed instructions WHERE to look for ticks. Every night before bed she'd drink her special "tiger" tea. She enjoyed all the veggie food the hippies on the trip would cook. She's just cooler than all of us put together.
CHASE! I had no idea you had a blog even though you commented on mine like, ages ago. I'm just blog-tarded and don't really think to check for comments. But now I get to read loads of backstory on mr. chase :D:D:D I'll be keeping busy with that and check back in later.
